Have you done a plenum pull with the associated bypass?

If not then yes a reasonably big job

Didn't look like I would make it due to fuel leak No 6.
A massive thanks to Jamie who rescued me so I'll be there turning sausages and helping where I can. Looks like a bit of crappy weather coming in but hell, who cares?
    See you there guys.

ok guys we will have quite a few things to do on this techday, so should be great fun and a good chance to prepare for the upcoming cruise!

if your having work done to your car bring some basic tools if you can, so we have enough to work on all projects at once.....

dont forget to bring a fistfull of cash to get some cheap zed spares as well!

this tech day will go ahead regardless of the weather on the day, so come and enjoy a bit of zed related fun!

Unless you intend on relocating it, replacing the knock sensor is a HUGE job!

You have to take off the upper AND lower plenum, and removing the lower plenum involves taking the timing belts off etc. This is not something that should be done in a hurry! :(

People often tout removing the gearbox as an option to reach the knock sensor, but I just tried this to absolutely no avail. Couldn't even undo the plug for the wire (though I had some aftermarket bits in the way).

No chance of this work being done at a tech day. :/

Currently cutting brake pedals down to fit and popping the clutch in.

Don't think I'll get all the wiring done AND the dash and plenum back in by tomorrow though. :(

Sorry guys, don't think I will make this - I've decided to give myself a wekend off from work as the last 3 weeks I have been doing 60 hours weeks, and it's gonna be the same the next 3 or 4 weeks.

    Hi Norm,

I just cut the auto brake pedal down to size. Worked perfectly and I didn't have to disassemble the whole lot! Cheers for the offer though. :)

Weather today sucked though, so I only got about an hour's worth of work in on the manual conversion. :(

I'll be at the tech day tomorrow arvo. I'm definitely spending the morning working on my car though. :p
