Just wondering if TD05H-16G turbos off a Mitsubishi will fit a 300zx ? I assume this will not be a straight swap so what would need to be done to make it fit ?
Definitely not a straight swap. The Flange is different for starters so would need some form of adaptor plate if thats even possible or custom manifolds of some sort. same again for the dumps, different flange so custom again. i would assume it would be much cheeper to just get bolt on items.
Them pretty big turbo's be prepared for some lag. Id only go down this road if i had the turbs lying around or could source them cheaply. far bit of fab to make em fit . Trev
I have TD05-18G. Comes as part of the Trust kit though, so special manifolds etc etc. My lag is not too bad (see dyno chart in garage). Not sure how it would go with stock manifolds (in regards to flow) Adaptation as a one off car would be expensive.
Yeah i can source them very cheaply. I know you can purchase bolt on ones from trust however i was hoping the ones from a mitsubishi could fit without to much difficulty. Im also not worried about lag. Thank you so far im looking at new dumps and a flange anything else to look out for ?
