we had a great turn out to a lil cruise today in the south on tassie with 7 cars turning up, luckily 1 of each colour so we had a horsepower rainbow, it was nice lil cruise up the mountain even if we did get stuck behind a "l" plater on the way home. great to catch up with everyone and hope to see you all about more
TAZZIE: 7th OF AUGUST WRITE UP They day started off looking very promising, blue skies, the sun was out and the birds were singing. I spent over an hour getting the Zed spotless in & out, ready for the cruise at 1pm. I had just finished drying the car off when I noticed some very dark clouds heading over the hills! Was only a minute or so before what felt like a typhoon hit! Violent winds & the rain was bucketing down (always happens just after washing a car). It didn't rain long and the sky cleared to show the sun again. Roads were wet still and my Zed was dirty by the time I got to the meeting point. Tassiezed, Plasmo & xplodzx were there waiting. Shortly after NoZed(NoMore) turned up & the previous record for most Zeds gathered in Tas was beaten. Odz also turned up and we assumed no more Zeds were coming. It was off to Mt Wellington for some photos. On the way through the city I noticed we had company. Yellowz somehow found us and followed us to the Mountain. It was a bumpy wet drive up, & I might add, bloody freezing! We pulled over & took the opportunity to take some pics. Next was a drive through Fern Tree, a nice tight, windy road along the base of Mt Wellington. Just our luck, we all got stuck behind a slow van. After thinking we couldn't go any slower we all caught up to a L plater, slower still. Once we made it to the highway, and having pedal happy feet after being stuck behind the L plater a few of us quickly got up to speed (some a little quicker) and flu past a speed camera (we'll have to wait and see odz). We finally stopped off in Salamanca for a drink at one of the pubs. Over all it was a great turn out. 7 zeds In total, one of each colour. Was great to meet up with you all, some for the first time. Next meet I know will be bigger & better, hopefully the weather a little nicer. I look forward to it. Jono
Great write-up & pics Jono  A 7-Zed cruiZe is a GREAT cruiZe... try coordinating 20-30 Zeds and it can become a real 'hassle'. We encountered an L-Plater on the best uphill windy leg of the recent Binna Burra cruiZe; could've gotten out and run past her It's all fun tho, eh?
I second that - Jono, a Great Job! It was really great to meet people whom you've only known before from their posts on the site. The weather was typically Tasmanian (if you don't like it wait 5 minutes and it'll be totally different!). I set out from home just after a really heavy rain squall and must admit I didn't think the day was going to be any good. Instead - a great cruise - 7 Zeds all different colours and a nice GTR to represent another arm of the great Nissan family! It was just great being tail-end-charlie (voluntarily as I'm prepared to admit my NA's power and tyres are nothing special and neither are my reflexes)and seeing the rest ahead. An excellent sight and one which caused some surprised looks from the passing traffic! Let's hope we can get another cruise going soon. Maybe Central Tasmania - so we can entice our Northern colleagues to join in! S@#! It's F#$$ing cold and wet! Where'll we go? We arrive at The Springs (overlooking Hobart) Zeds of most colours At our "Photo Opportunity" stop XPLODZX's awesome sound system.

Re: when we organising the next cruise? if you make it more in the middle of the state im there. it was a shame i couldnt make it, but i just couldnt justify 2 tanks of petrol to get down and back, not to mention any driving around in between.
next cruise i agree with a point jono ( xrated) raised on sunday it would be good to have a cruise and meet up in the middle of the state sumwhere and have a drive around that area as it's a good chance to meet our northern fellow zedders. on that point i am planning on heading upto launnie at the end of the month to have a look around the car show would be good to possibly meet up with any of the northern guys if possible
Sorry I didn't make it down It rained all day Sat and Sun morning up here in Lonny so I decided not make the trip. It's good to finally see a group of Zeds cruising in Tassie:thumbsup: I'll definately make it to the next one. Xplodzx, let us know when your heading up this way and we'll meet up. Cheers, Troy

Hey Troy... I'll be up in Launie this Fri/Sat for work. I decided to take the Zed up to make the trip more enjoyable. I'll be at Aurora stadium covering the VFL. Most likely be out for a few beers after the game Friday night, so if you think you maybe about let me know. Cheers, Jono BTW. I LOVE you avatar picture
Unfortunately I have to work this weekend:thumbsdown: But i might be persuaded to come out for a quick coldie, or two on Friday night. I'll give you a call Friday arvo if I do. Cheers, Troy
Love that report Jono! Professional Journalisim/story telling right there! Yeh, Awesome day, well Zed wise anyway. Great to see all of those bloody HOT cars together. Real good to compare mods/maintenance and find out info on carrying them out. Was really pleasantly surprised with what great blokes all us Z owners are! top bunch of genuine Z loving, all round desent blokes! :zlove: Already pumped for another even bigger and better meet up hopefully in the warm so we can really get the chance to admire each others rides  Got some of my own pics, will post them up here when i get a chance and figure out how the hell to do it! alright catchya all soon
Even though I live in the north of the state > I'd have to commit a cardinal sin and say a Cascade thanks At least when you move down here Cliff, you'll be halfway, so you can choose which ever brew takes your fancy:LOL:
