We managed to kick this one off with 5, well short of our target 10, but we had two out of action with mechanical issues, one because Ben is a slack bastard who never shows , and a few others that couldn't make it... still we set off for Orford... Somewhere along the line we lost 2 more Z's so that left 3! Had a really good run after getting out of Sorell and had some great Tassie roads out to Orford. Hopefully Jono got some good video and will post that up in due course, it was really good to see Troy and his partner (whos name I've clearly forgotten!) make it down from Lonnie and I apologise greatly for lowering the cred of the cruise with my carnival colour scheme.. next one it'll be all shmick though! And here are the pics, only a day after the cruise.. instead of 2 months... crazy... Oh, and yeah, I might of got a bit crazy with the angles there a bit at the end, but I'm coming down with a cold and my head was feeling a touch wooly... that's my excuse dammit.
Was a great cruise, even considering the piss poor turn out! Great pics Andrew, they turned out well. Shame about that multi-coloured Zed I'm afraid to say that my passenger didn't take my advice on not touching the zoom button on the video camera!!! Disappointingly, all the footage is zoomed. This meaning it's blurry, very unstable, and makes it look like we were crawling threw the corners (which couldn't be more deceiving). I'm going to try & make a mount for it somewhere in the car. Then we'll get some good footage that's useable. Was great to meet Troy (Lowy) and Nicole who made it down from Launceston. I hope you both had fun, & that the pathetic turn out didn't disappoint you too much. Jono
Beware the wrath of Jono! Yeah, it was a good cruise though, I enjoyed it! Shame about the trip back though... why is it we always get stuck behind slow-ass drivers? I'd like to check out the footage the next time I'm down though out of interest.
