Hey guys i have been doing a bit of research about coilovers and what not for my car. I have come accross this guy on other forums and im sure someone on here must know about him?? He gets bilstein shocks and eibach springs and mates them together to form a coilover kit. apparantley revalving them to suit the specified spring rates? Please let me know what you think.

here is a photo of his work (sorry about the size):

they look decent, how much $ and what spring rates are available? if i didn't have coilovers i'd probably try them. only downside i can see is the lack of shock length adjust so you've only got spring adjust to change the height.

those arms look like painted stock items with better bushes.

I think its around $1400, that includes revalving to suit your deisred springs. I was told bilsteins are supposed to be really good quality product and so are eibach springs. so all in all it "seems" like a good track car kit.

at $1400 it's reasonable. at that price it's also competing with the AGX/Eibach combo and i know i'd much rather have bilstein shocks.

Yeah, well known on SAU. Love the helper springs and Bilstein has a great name in good shocks.

Looks like a good buy to me...

Do you think they would be compare to a set of jappy coilovers?? he "says" they have been used on alot of "race" cars but at the moment ive only seen photos of 1 car using them, a ls1 gtst

    take care

I ordered a set of springs and shocks for my R32 GTR paid for them in end of June and still waiting for them. I would like this set up for my zed but I personally would be very concerned with putting more cash over to him. I would rather have a pick up and pay for them then. He is at Minto.
As to the "revalving of the shocks" There is a lot of discussion about this and the general feeling on the skylines forum is that they are not revalved. They are the standard shocks and have either have the adjustable spring platform or have extra circlip grooves as in the GTR set up.
If I was you I would speak to him personally. I have been trying to contact him AGAIN the last few days with no luck:mad:

Really? what a dick! well that blown that idea out of the water then. back to plain old coilovers. Thanks for the advice. Do you know of people that have used them on track cars?

I had sydneykid whiteline/bilstein setup on my R33 and it was excellent, needed fat swaybars though as the springs are still rather soft. Think i read on sau the reason behind the backlog of orders was/is a supply issue

Sydney Kid is one clever man, I have seen his suspension setups both on and off cars and its impressive. Bilstein shocks are excellent.
Gary is in high demand and Im sure if there has been a delay it will be a part supply issue, he definitely isnt dodgy lol
I can't see you loosing your $$ with him.
He is fairly local to me so if I can help anyone just yell.

    Caz.. :)

Hey caz so have you seen these on a track car, do they perform well? I am really trying to get a setup that will prevent oversteer and allow heavy braking. They look very good quality and bilstein are "supposed" to be great?
