HI I just wanted to post a thread to pass on my best wishes to a fellow Zedder. Last night i was travelling North on Cantebury road near campsie. I was prompted to slow down when i saw a convoy of tow trucks, police, fire trucks, rta accident response group and a lot of flashing lights at the corner of beamish and canterbury road Campsie. From a distance i could see the wreck but i litterally could not make out the car. As approached i notices the unmistakable zed stock rims. As soon as i saw this my heart dropped. The car was in ruins.. The whole top of the car had been removed from the accident. It was as if a blade had clean cut the top of the car off. It ended up hitting a pole as well. I tried asking a few of the guys there if he was alright but they were not prepared to comment. One guy did let slip that the guy was supposed to be ok.... But judging from the accident he would not have been in good shape.. I didn't recognise the car to be owned by anyone on the forum, but then again there wasn't much left.. My thoughts go out to the driver and his family.... Terry
Not good... Hope the driver is alright! If anyone has any further information let us know. Would be interested to find out if it was one of us ... On that note, there was a Red Zed being put on the back of a tow truck up near Pimpama I think it was on Saturday evening. I received a ph call from someone who thought it was me. Car was pretty well damaged. Any info on either of the accidents would be good to hear. Fate.. concerned citizen
Its a sad day for the zed community as a whole A fellow enthusiast has most likely been seriously injured and our cars have lost another one of there own!! Thoughts go out to the driver and passengers and there family.
I have been searching through all the papers and i haven't found anything as yet... I hope this is a good sign, because there were many articles on deaths in vehicles early this morning and late last night... I will keep searching...
Was that a maroon or red Z? Just saw something on the midday news. One lady killed and her toddler unhurt, other car at first glimpse appeared to be a red/maroon Z. Egg
I believe you're referring to this crash: http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2006/09/21/1158431810398.html No Zeds involved, however that doesn't make this accident any less tragic.
