I don't have any pics/results but I figured I'd get the ball rolling... Looks like a great day for all, and a good turnout with about 12 cars hitting the dyno and several others turning up to hang out. Good to see some familiar faces and of course lots of new ones, although having been on the board since march I probably qualify as a newbie too! Thanks to everyone who came, and apologies for sneaking out rather than doing the goodbyes etc. Had to run to a gig in the middle of the slot-car run... So yeah, hope everyone had as much fun as I did, I know there were some photographers around so maybe we can get so me pics posted?
yeah man sounds good. unfortunately i couldnt get there in time. wanted to test the NAWS and see the performance. mate pm me with a postage address for the brake lines. Keen to see some pics.
Likewise Was all set to leave work at midday and head up there for a run, but got extended and finished at 4pm instead, to late. hope every one had a good day, look forward to see the figures and pics.
Weekend work, miss all the good stuff. Would have liked to be there and see a line of zeds on a dyno. I hope that all had high rwkw rate
Thanks rob for organising the event Also thanks for installing my pod . I definately had a great day. Cant wait for the next one .
I was a late arrival Had to finish putting my plenum back on in the morning. I ended up with 242kw which is pretty close to what I dynoed last time (247)
was a great day! good turnout, and another NA there as well:thumbsup:. really wish i could have stayed but rosehill gardens called (and took all my money:LOL would love to see some pics, graphs etc. cheers for the organisation rob!
Good turnout... thanks Rob for setting up the event. although it rained a bit, the day still had a good turn-out. was great to put some names to faces. saw some eye-candy bodykits and bling wheels, and finally... the unique Z in the flesh. having taken out the "wooden spoon" award, i'll have to get my zed (at least) mechanically sound and tuned before the next one. but if available, i'd definitely be up for a cruise.
Was a great day Was good to see my engine out like that though. Wont get another oppurtunity. To see it so clean and shiny and so much attention to detail thats been put in, what can I say but absolute perfection. :zlove: Was great to see a lot of new faces this time around. Hope to see you again in the future. That slot car on the dyno was great to see again too. Absolutely love that machine :zlove::zlove:
Some nice Zeds.. i seen there. Wasnt there for long.. just came to have a peak and check out john's workshop. Getting my 100k service started next sat.. be without my zed for a week or so ive been told john knows them in and out. cheers
Hey DooGz If you need help with your pod just tell me ok. Rob showed me a bit, while doing mine. Oh yeah great to see the faces behind the sig
Spewing I missed it all! Had a change in the roster and ended up working besides the Zed is in many bits in the garage enjoying some refinement. Not to woory will be visiting John this week to collect some more bits and talk Zed shit with him. Love his workshop, want one like that for myself one day. So who got the dyno queen award for the day? Hope to c u all soom guys. MattB
Dynow Queen I think I hateant aka ouhoon was definately a cut above with 287kw. Pretty impressive numbers and a nice curve too, hopefully he'll post the dyno sheet.
yeah i will post but i dont know how 2? plus i dont have a scanner!! doses anyone have any ideas on how to post given these slight problems? yeah was quite impressed with 287kw, but also a bit dissapointed i didnt crack 300kw, but hey it gives me something to aim for right? also my car was running massively rich so i guess thats a good thing for longevity but it drops your figures a fair bit, also sorry i had to go eary but i have a heap of uni assignments to get done and they wont type themselves. was good to see everyone, some very nice looking cars in attendence, makes my "thrash" car look kinda pov in comparision. So nice to meet you guys and we will have to do this again sometime!!!!
Good day! Thanks to Rob for organising and JP for hosting  Lots of new faces and different cars. Ihateant's Zed was sure a buzz to see on the dyno, very nice graph! No wonder he and his mate had smiles on their faces the day I met them at EC. I was originally disappointed that Shifters Zed wasnt ready for the Dyno but being able to see his superb engine on the stand in the engine building room was awesome. It really is a work of art and Im glad I had opportunity to see it close up and from all angles before it dissappears under that Carbon bonnet! What did they end up getting from JP's Zed?? They were up to 397rw/kw @ 20 psi, having difficulty keeping it on the rollers even with a bootful of hefty zedders.. when I was called out. I didnt get to see the end figure??
pod install... thanks 'pare'. should be ok, but will give you a buzz if i get stuck. a decent set of tools would be a good start pm sent.
398rwkw Could not hold it on the rollers kept smoking the tyres event with four in the boot and stapped down. The tyres were gone. Never had this problem before. We wound it up to 23psi which was going way past the 20.5psi line then smoked the tyres, and ony 235's so times for some newer and wider dyno tyres. Can't use slicks as it destroys them. Should have been well over 400rwkw that is for sure. Yes it was good to see names with faces and some nice cars and some interesting results, some running very rich and some very lean and some spot on.
man that would have been funny to see, 4 dudes in the boot of a zed whilst it is smoking on the dyno. someone should have took a video. I think we should have another tech day or bbq soon guys.
