Swaged bonnet $250 need to sell ASAP strapped for cash

Zed bonnet with suaged heat vent(Professionally made)

I had this made buy the guy that does all the Jack Daniels top fuel drag car metal work .
So its done buy a professional and 1 of a kind.
Quite a few hours went into making this and there is a lot more involved than you would think.
Im not going to go with the motor change now so dont need the bonnet for the NA

damn i was hoping it'd be a visably agressive look.. kinda after the 'tough' look a scoop can give, but without going overboard like the carmate types..

I did it this way so you cant see it as anything rasied from the original high of the bonnet is illegal

LEGAL because you also used the original bonnet unlike the ones the are full carbon or fibreglass

 

Don't think that's correct...

I remember reading somewhere (think it was on the qld transport brochure on mods, the one with the XR8 on the front) all the regualtions about minimum radii and heights for scoops and vents on bonnets, there really quite reasonable.

The rules on bonnets are if its factory add vents or such that is fine, but if you add anything to a factory bonnet that isnt factory and it raises above the factory hight its illegal

 

as Chrispy said, in Qld you are permitted to add scoops, there is a limit though, as long as the scoop doesnt protrude into the field of view beyond a specified limit.

I can vouch for how expensive it is to get vents beaten into a bonnet like this.

It cost $450 to get the pair beaten into mine.

$500 is a bargain for this.

 

I'm trying to imagine this fitted and painted but having a hard time. I like it because its not crazy over the top and its not fibreglass. Any ideas on what the shipping costs to Perth would be? quite a lot I imagine. Any other pics? like with it actually mounted on the Z or something I guess rain might be a problem as well with the vent sloped that way...

I hate people who crash for sale threads

so I am going to hate myself.
In QLD that bonnet will be illegal, as the bonnet structural support in the centre is removed. Now in actual fact, in case of collision the amount of structural strength that is gone with the cross beams missing is negligible, but they pinged my bonnet for those reasons, and I had to get the structure put back in.

On the up side, it's not that hard to do.

 

No its not Illegal as only the single strut was removed and frame still covers edge to edge.
This was all looked into before I went ahead with the job.
This guys makes all type of weird crap for the road and has all the rules and paperwork at hand
