    Kanzen MUDA DA!

    Hey guys,
We purchased a set of Tein Type HR coilovers from Fauzer @ Auto Japan a couple of months ago, linked thread : http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=300713

The stock struts on our car are in really bad shape and the time to change them over is growing nearer, as this is going to be happening soon, are there any particular notes I should take on what to replace/add/remove for the Suspension? Trying to kill as many birds with one stone.

Strut braces? particular bushing replacements? camber arm replacement? Please tell me your setups, and perhaps recommendations on essential upgrades/replacements.

The only suspension related modification we've done so far has been HICAS removal and replacement with Driftworks independant HICAS replacement kit.

We don't have alot of money, however we are willing to put the pocket there to get the premium result for a streetable suspension setup.

    Regards,
    Leon.

+2 and front and rear strut braces.

Or strut braces and adjustable camber and other components (check fsbb section) to get your alignment right.

Zeds have awesome handling - hard to improve on it without properly knowing your shit.

If your planning to lower the car by about an inch or more then you really need to grab front & rear upper camber arms otherwise could get away with a shim kit for the front (300 degree make one) & just have a little tyre wear in the back.
If you go front camber arms then you should really grab adjustable traction rods too, these minimise the twisting force put on the new upper arms & will help prevent premature failure (plus allow more adjustability of course).

Change bushes too if you can afford it but be aware getting the above mentioned parts will delete some of the bushes so you probably dont need a full kit.

Swaybars will make more of a difference than strutbars, whiteline make them & your looking at $300-400. Good strut bars are single piece & will run you about $300 a set on ebay (they're no name versions of the powertrix ones which are developed from the carbing design) or you can grab a set of cheapies for $50 which are more for looks.

Have a hunt through the for sale section, think there was a bushing set & traction rods going at the moment.

    cheers, Tim

And most importantly, once all the new pats are fitted take it to GOOD suspension shop for alignment
