Suspension - Rack end and Mounts

    Hi,

    When I drive above 80km/hr I get massive vibration in the steering wheel.
    When I took it to a tyre place they put it on the hoist and told me it wasnt just a wheel alignment problem but the rack end and mounts on the drivers side was stuffed and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately its not easy for them to source the parts.

    My question is the rack end and mounts the same as ball joints?

    Mitch Has one gear: GO

    Rack ends are what the ball joint screws onto.
    If they cannot source them, there is something wrong. ANY suspension shop should have multiple suppliers of OEM or compatible parts. You would probably find that the rack ends were used in MANY nissan cars of our vintage.

    They probably just don't want the job.

    piss easy to change

    They arent hard to change, so DIY
