Another great day, weather was a lot warmer than last week. Got five sessions in again despite quite a few mishaps and breakdowns, mainly with the more modern cars there.
Only real disappointment are my Kuhmo V70A semislicks (a waste of $1850). Have only had them on for two days and they are being ripped apart, plus once the tyres get really hot on say the fourth and fifth lap they really squeal through any sort of turn and I'm getting real shaking and juddering through the steering wheel while I'm braking. Next session out they are fine until the tyres are up on temperature again. Its definately the tyres, I had the same last week with different pads in and the Wilwood rotors and calipers are as new. One positive from this week was the brake pads, Project Mu "Carbon Ceramics" supplied by GSL RallySport same material that V8 Supercars use. I had ordered a set of A1FMs from them but the supplier was late with delivery and Greg was good enough to search for another available set at short notice, these retail at over $500, but were supplied to me free of charge to return when my A1FMs are delivered, hows that for service!!! The performance of the Carbon Ceramics was unbelievable, l used less brake pressure and the car was able to stop a lot quicker, good when cold and even better when hot, would have given them more of a work-out if it wasnt for the tyres. Probably get a set of Bridgestone RE55s next time as I have now been told work much better with heavier cars like the 300zx and Supra
Managed to achieve a PB but only slightly better than last week still in 1.04s.

Next step is racing driver lessons

Nothing wrong with 1:04's in what is basically a stock TT, nothing wrong at all. Yes it was a great day, fine and sunny at last.

Yes I did talk of race lessons but it takes time to organise a group to make financially viable for both QR and myself. It looks like There will be enough interest in race driver training, so Baz lets see you there, as long as the timing doesnt clash with your money making golf games you have no excuse.
