Another great day at Lakeside, weather was perfect, temperature around 28degC. Got five sessions again and finished by 2pm.
Congratulations to 260DET on getting down into the 60secs, great driving Richard.
I managed a 63sec in my tank (as Richard calls it) a PB and 1.6secs better than I had achieved before. Still getting some shuddering through the steering when I'm braking hard, despite another new set of Kuhmo V70As on the front (thanks to Hornibrook Tyres for getting Kuhmo to exchange under warranty).
Suspension and steering was set-up properly by Tyre Tech after a poor effort from Pedders, nice to have the wheels facing in the right direction. Had my boost turned up to 15psi as the components for my more powerful engine are on their way from Coz CZP. Downside to this was that I blew a BOV off, fortunately it stayed in the engine bay until I got back to the pits.
Still not happy with the wear on the tyres, but I will stick with them until they wear out. Also going to take my Wilwood front rotors and get them checked to ensure they are not the cause of this shudder. Can anyone recommend a good machining shop.
All in all I was very happy with car and felt a lot more comfortable.
