Hey guys, Ive noticed theres a funny noise comming from the drivers side guard. Its like a draining noise as if its sucking up some liquid or something and choking on it  When i accelerate it goes away and then when the revs drop down it starts up again... Any ideas guys on what it could be??? Thanks for any help you guys give Alex
perhaps a case of the gurgling AIVs ...???? if so, not a problem .. if you don't like it, head for tech .. there is an article there on how to remove your "AIVs" ...
what does AIVs actually do for the car??? Ive read the article and thinking about what i wanna do... if to remove it completely or just clean it out and drill a whole in the bottom of the cable.... Any suggestions? on pros and cons of doing this
Re: what does AIVs actually do for the car??? They inject air into the exhaust at idle and a few other time to help the cats work better and lower emissions. They where later left off the 300zx by nissan. You can ripp the whole lot off if the mood takes you. Or drill a hole in the pipe to let the water out. Its a bit of work to remove them completely as you have to plug the hole on the exhaust.
i removed them on the weekend and it was some good fun ripping crap out what is the effluent in that pipe? how does water get in there? i like it because when i get custom front pipes made up they can be straight and clean without the AIV stuff coming into them
I have a different noise. It sounds like a ticking like the sound of brakes cooling but it gets faster with acceleration. Sounds like its coming from the front right too... well when my window is open. What could that be?
