thanks Thanks got my kit the other day. Can I suggest if you do another run of kits to include the various spring washers. The bolts that I tried to replace today (injector caps screws & cas) all had spring washers but they are captive, so you would do some damage trying to get them off to resuse them. Cheers, Simon
Yea Attila how long would it take you to compile a list of bolts nuts and washers to suit the interior and what exactly would be covered and cost?
Thanks for the heads up. I didnt know about the injector cap screws, did realise the CAS had them but unfortunately after i made the order. Got them for the TPS at least Will definately do a thorough look through and include the few spring washers I missed from here on.
Cost would be comparable depending how many parts there are- about half price of buying individual bolts at common stainless suppliers. I feel like the interior is a different story to engine bay. Bolts are all hidden and coloured black so you dont see them. Theyre pretty when shiny in hte engine bay but an interior is meant to look smooth? Although if a few peeps are keen and lock it in ill go out measure them all up and buy a couple for ya.
can someone please do me a favour and send me a picture of the fasteners fitted? attila.zoltan@hotmail.com or post one up here.
oops youre right. Coilpacks are 12 x short socket head cap screws M8 x 20mm long. Its a bunch of short fat ones.
I was just gonna say I'll take a pic of the kit. Can't install yet. Although they were cheap as, the quality is top notch. Wish I got 2 sets. looking forward to the interior kit also.. When installing these stick to torque ppl!
Here you go. Even though you cant see anything in the pics BEFORE AFTER Not the best photo. Im an engineer not a photographer But you get the jist. Boring rusted hex bolts replaced with shiny round flush fasteners
Hey thanks....as you said not the best photography but I can see them after looking closely. I can guess you'd notice a real difference when standing in front of it.
maybe a few close up pics of individual bolts would be better than a single engine bay shot ill take some proper ones over the weekend.
ive had to do a follow up order for fasteners at work so though id buy some more kits while i could still get wholesale prices. Now selling them in the for sale by businesses section until they run out. They are Grade 304, but I have revised the kit and added the lock washers I missed out originally (thanks RazorTT for the heads up). A little bit more exxy, and only grade 304 as opposed to marine grade like this gb. Here are a few piccies fitted for anyone trying to decide if they want one or not.
