Hey I'm trying to install speaker pods in the front doors and I've got a quick question.

Do I still need the pre-existing speaker box?

Do I put it back in, then use the wires coming out of it, or should I get rid of it all together and make a wire from the plug that originally connected to it?

And why are there more wires going into it than just the two for the speakers? Is there an amp in there?

    Thanks

Ok, but should I continue to use the amp which is supposedly built into the enclosure?
