Alright then I'll start this one off, but I dont have any photos so maybe people that had cameras could chuck some up???

First up it was a great day. Started out looking pretty nasty & overcast but by mid-day she was all cleared up with barely a cloud in the sky.

On arrival we were all presented with our 'offical aus300zx Sorrento cruise guides' as prepared by THEZED which were a whopping 23 pages long! & of course our name tags which made life a lot easier during the day...

Our 9:30 departure time from the meet point was quickly thrown out the window as everyone started checking out the various zeds that were arriving & of course waiting for the mysterious final member, who never showed, who were you mysterious final member???

& its official Paul (ttzxs) has the cleanest zed ever, looks like it rolled out of the showroom yesterday:thumbsup:

we set off just after 10 but the cruise ground to a halt about a kay up the road after Ben's Sky80 decided it didn't want to be seen with a bunch of zeds & promptly called it quits... but with it safely back at the meet point he grabbed a seat with ttzxs & we were off again.

The drive out to Dromana was a nice stretch of the legs & we certainly got a few looks as the procession made their way down the highway. BigCol meet us there with some pretty handy driving skills as he pulled a u-turn into the carpark at warp speed:LOL:

Even with the overcast skies & cool winds most were geared up for some of that famous Dromana icecream but of course it was shut:rolleyes:
With my suggestion of beers in the pub falling on deaf ears it was off to Sorrento & finally some good weather!

Once in Sorrento those of us that didn't have a cut lunch hit the shops for some good old fish & chips & then it was back to the beach to polish it off & once again talk zeds:LOL:

From here Jezza took the lead & we headed out through Flinders & up to Arthurs Seat which threw up some nice twisty bits & with barely any traffic on the road a chance to give it a bit of stick.

Finally, at the top of Arthurs Seat we through in a 'mini-mini' tech day which involved Blipman removing ttzxs speed chime, a lenghty process which involved 2 screws & a plug:LOL:

& then we went our seperate ways & began the trek home.

& for the record the mystery illness that sidelined the Sky80 was located within 5 minutes of getting back to the car:wacko: the culprit, a loose intercooler pipe.

so all in all an excellent day, a big thanks to Matthew (THEZED) for organising & for all those who attended for making it such a sweet day.

    Now, bring on the pics!!!

    cheers, Tim.

    red32 You talkin' to me?

Glad you guys had such a good time...

I spent the day in bed, recovering from one night-shift and preparing for another (Sunday night). Bloody work! Still and all, I suppose it pays the bills... how does the saying go? If you don't work you don't get paid, if you don't get paid you don't eat, if you don't eat you don't s&$t, if you don't s&$t, you die!

    Blipman Beer hooves totally work

    Thanks Matt for organizing

the guide and name tags were a cut above regular cruises :)

Tim summed it up pretty well, I don't think I saw anyone taking photos actually. In the end it was an intercooler hose which had blown off (I TOLD you so!) and Tim and I were able to fix fairly easily. The front mount went in only the day before so it seems there are some teething problems.

Thanks to Tim, Paul and Col for the lifts

I thought it was only a fraction above normal speed. :D

    good write up Tim

I did take a few pics that day. Will post them shortly (once I shrink them).

The turnup was not as fantastic as the first Sorrento cruise, but with about 8 to 9 zeds turning up it was still quite good.

A big thank you for those who turned up. I certainly hope everyone had a good time driving and meeting fellow zedders (bar the missing the icecream where the shop was closed), I sure did.

As for the missing zedder, he should know who he is. I am not going to point any fingers in public other then stating the fact that I am rather unhappy the lack of "warning" for not turning up.

Cheers and once again thank you to all attendees.

    Matt
