Attach the lines to the oil cooler first!:bash:

In particular the one that attaches to the oil filter bracket. Biggest PITA job I've done so far on the zed. Would have taken 2 minutes with engine out, took about 2 hours, a fist full of skin and at least half my sanity with the engine in.

And the other is to fit the turbo suction hoses before the drop as well. Very big PITA trying to get them on and do up the hose clamp once in:mad:

I didnt use the original lines,re-routed with a/market hoses. What nearly stuffed me was the part of the gearbox support (auto) that has to be bolted onto the block BEFORE the oil filter housing is bolted onto the block. Engine and TX in, and trying to get the bracket on, bolts about 2mm too long to go in-between the the block and the O/F housing. Had to shorten the bolts, then needed fingers 6" long with extra knuckles and eyes on the end of stalks to get it all together, similar in fact to most jobs on the engine. A lot of time/blood/sweat & tears. A lesser person may have left it off, but I like the chrome, even though you can't see it:cool::biggrin:
