does anyone have any suggestions on what could be causing the intakes on my tt to fill with oil. turbos were rebuilt only 500k's ago to try and fix problem.it's used over a lt of oil in that 500k's. could a blocked pcv let that much oil through?
    cheers

Hi Josh - I would get a compression test done.

Could be rings if you're using that much oil.

If you look directly under the return springs of the throttle bodies you

will see a rubber hose which vents the inlet cam covers ;)
In that hose is an restrictor and a "bottle brush" type of filter which is sposed to keep the venting to a minimum,
But in essence if there is a lot of blowby past your valve guides (or rings as well) its going to go down this hose to the inlet to your turbos!
and cover them with oil and so reduce their efficiency.

Only solution is an engine overhaul IMHO :(

    When...

    ...does it smoke?
Under acceleration or moreso when coasting down a hill?

to egg, it does it all the time, wheather it's under power or just sitting at the lights. It's in for a new set of rings this week so i'll c if that makes any dif. it's under warrany atm so i'll just keep taking it back until it's fixed.
