hi guys, i got a problem here. I went for drive today and the car went really strangely. when you put the foot down the car just didnot go, only up to 30km or 40km/hour, no matter how you put your foot down. it seems like some where has be blocked. then there was a small bang and something drop on the road, i dont know what they were and where they were come from, just small pieces. and then car car went as well as before. but when i got home i find that there some while smoke from both exhaust, but the noise from the exhaust(cat) are gone, so any idea what is going on? thanks
Your catalytic converter disintergrated and partially blocked the exhaust pipe. Then when it cleared you would have got small pieces of honycombe come out the back of the pipes. Replace your cats.
Agree with Brad - definately sounds like the cats blocked up! The smoke could be all the fine carbon dust that may have accumulated in the cats aswell as the Honeycomb that has been burnt.
