went on the skyline cruise today, me and a couple of other cars felt a bit left out. anyways, i think i gave some of them a bit of a fright when they saw me play, a couple of them even came up to me and gave me a 8-} look for an explanation on y its so qick, or maybe skylines arent that qik, unless thousands are spent?? anyways, got lots of pic taken and lots of good coments from heaps of people. heh heh! not bad for a 300 as i got told
Went once with silvias with nextzed ! There were a few skylines there too, they all like to talk and bag the Z, but i wave to every one of them every time i pass them HEHEHEHEHE! They sure feelt the power of a mighty Z!
Some skylines are not that impressive. Just the other night I saw three R33 skylines having a bit of a go while I was on my way home. At the time I was in my Telstar TX5 but thought what the heck I would join the fun. It was about midnight, little traffic and was in a 90 zone. They all raced off from the lights and I took off in the TX5, I hang with them all the way up to about 140kms. one of them was pulling away ever so slightly, one was struggling and the other seemed quite even. Once they realised I was hanging in with them they seemed to lose a little interest, I am not sure they were impressed that a `ordinary' family car could actually keep up with them. One actually followed me when I turned off and tried to do the old overtake me move but failed to even reach my rear bumper let alone get past me. I have to confess it did make me feel pretty good though. Just wish I had the Zed with me, would have given them a damn good lesson
Stock Skylines are actually disappointing! They need a fair bit of work to get them to perform to any reasonable standard. ...the "R" flavour exempted of course!
Back when my Zed was sick, with the bad >> valves, I attended the dyno day and pulled 132.6kw's at the wheels... the turbo skyline, pretty sure twas an R32, went up after I did... Even with his turbo spinning wildly he only managed around 140kw's... All I could manage to do was sit there with a *VERY* smug smile on my face... ^D^ >D< :-Z
Being a R32, it more than likely had an RB20 ...which is hardly fair with an extra litre of capacity and an extra turbo.
Skyline cruising One night i was just minding my own business in my Z as you do! Pulled up onto the motorway heading out for the night and was suddently surrounded by a bunch of 32's. Didn't think much of it at first.After leaving 3 or 4 for dead i'd looked around to see more Skylines than i'd see before. I'd realised then that i'd pulled into the middle of a line Cruise. A grin this Big >D< Crossed my face as i knew that i could test the power of the almighty Z. One after another i kept leaving them for dead.Finally i pulled toward the front of the pack next to a purple line. A female driver with a lead foot Heck yes, thats my style driver, I glanced down at my speedo and saw i was doing 160km as it was. No sooner had i looked to my left and she'd smashed back to 3rd and taken off. I thought to myself as the adrenalin pumped through me damn, i'm not gonna be able to keep up in a second. I smashed back to 4th from 5th then straight into 3rd. The Z started to break traction as i didn't have the best of tyres on the car at the time. within a second or so i'd overtaken her. I decided it was time to pull away from the pack of Skilly's and head to where i was supposed to be going, followed by a
