Is it a T-top or Slick top? I've been looking to get a 2+2 TT and from your looks like a great zed. Would it come with a RWC / Safety Certificate if not any thing that needs to be done to pass?
I'm a noob, thanks for the info Crispy I've been wanting to get a Z32 for a long while and came across this site, It's been great reading all the atricles on the site. I'm trying to do my due diligence before buying my first Zed (which I am now in a position to do). So I thought I better start asking and enquiring on the Zed's for sale. I'm looking for a 2+2 TT (as I have to be able to take the wife and kids for a spin). I want to use it as a daily drive (something fun to get me to and from the daily grind) and get rid of my boreing EFII fairmont. So the Zed I buy will have to be in reasnoble mechanical nick. I'd prefer a manual (more fun) but an auto is ok too. I'm mechanical noob (but don't mid getting my hands dirty and having a go), thought it would be a great oppertunity to learn something anyway. Seems to be a great community with a great buch of peole and a wealth of knowledge (especially for noobs like me) and can't wait to contribute once I have my own Zed!!

More info Pocka, My zed is targa top. I have had this car for over three years now andI have met a number of the guys from the forum along the way,you couldnt be in better hands, great bunch of guys and gals if I may ... The car is Auto and the gear box was replaced soon after I got it with new parts ,not just an exhange. I have always been dligent with the car but at the start of this year i became another victim of the overheatingnightmare, after allime spent trying to work it out it was the radiator (eventhough I had it tested andre-tested) so Peter at Amec changed the engine at the start of the year forme,also included the under plenum by passandswappedover the 100k service parts, I have also added an aftermarket Temperature gauge which Peter also installed... its a great car and I have really enjoyed it...
RWC/Saftey Cert? Thanks for the info Ivan, The car looks realy nice from the pics you have posted. Do you have a Safety Certificate or do you know what may be required to pass? Also when you had the over heating issues did you endup replacing the radiator? Was the engin replaced with a new one, recond one or was yours overhauled. Does it leak at all in the rain? Any chance of having a look some time? I live 25 km north of CBD but work in Albion. If so when would it best suit you? Cheers, Patrick
hey Pocka Hey Pocka sorry i havent been online for the last week, anyways I dont have the RWC done yet, I originally wanted 10k but I dropeed it because of this and because I just love this forum and the group who have given me so much support, so I thought its best reducing it to 8k. Give me a call on 0448 490 933 and we can arrange to meet on an afternoon aftert work or on the weekend and I can let you know all the quirks and bumps as far as I know, Its a great car and I just love driving it... As far as the engine, we got it from Nissan and Peter at Amec was so kind to fit it into his schedule to chage itover, new radiator and also an after market temperature gauge was installed just tomake doubly sure, its only done 5000kms since then and I jsut had it serviced again,I have always serviced it every 5000kms Its a 2+2 Twin Turbo Targa Import, Leather interior, with the usual rip on the drivers side Poly front bar and sports botton lip. Had a look at this car over the weekend. Guys, I had a look at this car over the weekend and was very impressed. :biggrin: The owner Ivan, is an honest, great guy who even took the car around to my place for the initial inspection. We spent a couple of hours talking about the car, the forum and Zed's in general. It was the first time I had driven a Zed but I am hooked. Can't wait to get one and get activly involved in techdays, cruises etc. This is a great example of a stock vehicle with minimal mods such as alarm, turbo timer, temp guage, etc. that shouldn't cause any compliance issues with the plod. This vehicle had plenty of grunt and just wanted to keep pulling, the steering was great; solid, responsive and perfectly balanced. The breaks were even and pulled the car up quickly. Cosmeticlly as one would expect from a nearly 20 year old car, there were some minor details that could be addressed but nothing requring major work or that detracted from the look of the car. BTW The new crome cannons look awsome As I told Ivan I am looking to compare this car to other Zeds before I buy but suspect it will stack up very well. As far as I can tell it is an honest, mechaniclly reliable example of a 300ZX TT 2+2 that hasn't been thrashed. Mechnically it has been very well looked after by Ivan and goes exceptionally well. I just hope it is still availible (doubtfully) when I have compared it to others. Cheers, Pocka
