Sill scuff plate "300ZX" illumination

Does anyone know if the light source for the "300ZX" sign in the sill scuff plates is repairable?

 

Make sure you also check the inverter (the little black box) because most of the time it's the inverter that is broken and not the actual light strips, because the water gets into them because it's in an area that can get wet easily

No they are not fixable and so as a favor i will take the lot off your hands.

 

where do you find the inverter? is it wrapped in black "Foam" stripping?? it has 2 wires coming from it?

 

Thanks guys. I'll check the inverter. Presumably this switches the voltage. Any help with where it is and what voltage it should produce?
