Ok I was talking to a salesmen who had a z32 for sale, and I managed to get pretty friendly with him.. After talking about what was better on a resale point of 2+0,2+2,targa etc and how imports are sooo easily stolen and chopped blah blah blah he sliped, then realized he did in telling me the zed is a 2+0 hardtop but the plates are off a 2+0 targa.... Then trying to convince me that it was all done through Vicroads blah blah....I know this is 1000% illegal but how do we prove it? Now... I know my zed clearly states it's a 2+0 BUT it doesn't say it's a hardtop or targa. Are our cars so easily given new identities in the hands of shifty dealers like this guy?
My z has 2 plates on the front and a hand engraved vin number next to the drivers side strut tower... It's looks very vulnerable....I'll get my numbers up tomorrow as my zeds is 200mtrs away from my tv
Left of centre radiator support panel, squarish silver plate with Japanese writing, something like this "CZ 512345"
Unfortunately yours is one of a small number that don't have a record in FAST under the VIN number. I don't know why this occurs. Please post the other longer alpha numeric model number on that plate, it can provide the same information.
That number doesn't come up either but if I change the "5" to an S it does. 11/91 VG30DETT Targa 2 Seater Automatic, no info on interior trim. Think about what you do now, even if someone else has done wrong you could find yourself without a registrable car. Not sure on what will happen.
