    Hi guys

i have a z32 maual Gbox in my S15 and last night i came across a problem i have never had before!
the gear shifter sank and from the bottom it started hitting the tailshaft.
i had to pull it back up before i could drive the car again!!

i opened the shifter up and there seem to be nothing really holding the ball joint section on the shifter from the bottom!!
there is just a bush that sits on top of the ball joint section! and then the bracket with two screws that hold it from top!

does anyone have a diagram or pic to show me how the shifter is supposed to be mounted and if there is any pins or any washers stopping it from moving downwards?!

    cheers

    Ali

sounds like a snapped shifter mount to me.

dunno how it's mounted in your S15 but this is what's supposed to hold it up in our cars. once the rubber hardens it will break though.
