    Hi fellow zedders

need to get my 1990 z32 tt serviced first time since I bought it. Would like to change all spark plugs, oil and fuel filter? How much do u reckon it should cost?

    Cheers

It all depends on WHO you get to do the job, plus the cost of parts ie: oil, plugs etc and the markup they put on them.

Source your own plugs, filters, oil , belts , fluids , and then see what their labor charges are. All up it can range from $100+for parts and hourly rates vary from 1.5 - 3 hours.

Or if you have the room, and some tools organize a tech day at your place and it'll cost you a slab and some pizza and your parts.

You could do it yourself, fuel filter is an easy change right next to the battery, so is the removal of oil filter and draining the oil. The spark plugs can be time consuming though. A usual workshop charges $90 an hour Labour so as Scotty said it depends on who is doing the servicing.

    If it's just a standard...

....plugs, fuel filter, oil and oil filter.

Look for a large company like Ultratune to do it at 'fixed price".

I normally would recommend a Z specialist, but if it's just the basics they're more then competent to do this.

If you go to a large franchise like Ultratune, do your parts price checking at Supercheap, because they should be able to get their trade price and when they quote parts you can make sure they aren't trying to charge you more than retail for the parts.

If you don't already do that.

    Don't let them do anything...

...but a basic service. And look for a set price deal. :)

    This is the ball park you are looking at;

Plugs $120 or $30 for non standard
    Fuel Filter $25-$35
    Oil Filter $11
Oil $55 or $30 for factory spec as they will use at somewhere like Ultratune.
    Labour $140
    Enviro Charge $???

Where in NSW are you? Bring me the parts and i can service it fairly cheap. I'll even show you how to do it so next time you are able to change it all yourself.
