Does anyone remember a service bulletin that mentioned the seatbelts and why they lose their retraction after a while and there was a fix solution by adding a piece of metal somewhere, i know about the teflon bit for the belt holders themseves, but i got more doors almost off and was thinking of doing the service mod to get them retracting properly. I think it was actually inserting a shim from memory?
    Cheers

Maybe you are thinking about the problem that I fixed with Nissan part number 87880-79900. It is a fix for ALL Nissan's. Covered in Service Bulletion RS01-001a, released October 7, 2004. It is "Tape Set - Seat B"

    Around $15.00

Basically it is a thin piece of wire and a couple of teflon pieces of tape. You use the wire to remove the oils on the plastic "roller" part of thedoor side of the seat belt attachment, and then stick the teflon pieces to the "roller".

    Did the trick for me.
