ive looked through the tech section...only 1 article on replace S1 PTU with an S2 and all the piccys seem to have stopped working... any1 in sydney who done it and feels like lending me there experience for a couple of hours 1 weekend coming... = free beer and potentially ogalo's im in sydney, gladesville area. car may possibly be at tarren point soon though also where is the cheapest place to pick up a S2 PTU and how do i know if it is in good condition??? im pretty sure my series 1 PU has had it...my car enjoys stalling at he most dangerous of times
Gday, when i was down your path i found that member ZRATED does the cheapest ptu S2 kit with plugs for 199 i think and check out tt.net there are heaps of diagrams out there. All ya gotta do is swap that to this and this to that and thats that! Preetty easy id come give ya a hand but ima bit far!
i got mine from caz (cazracing.com), paid 270, brand new, which i thought was reasonable as if u approach nissan its a ridicoulous price. im also too far away too help you but its actually pretty easy to install. It comes with adapter cables, all u do is take off your radiator hose, unplug and unsrew ptu S1, and screw and reconected the new one... everything you need comes with the series 2 PTU (other than a screwdriver )
I have one Brand new series 2 ptu, I do not have any connectors. I am too lazy to solder mine into the existing loom, so I will get an entire kit from caz. $100.00 PM me if you are interested.
