WA selling 1989 z32 2 seater tt - needs work

Hi guys,

selling 1989 z32 2 seater hard top tt.

completely stock insides. pearl white with sexy flared guards.
comes with white writing on blue personalized plates "zeelady"
registered still for 5 months.
needs new wiring or someone to spend hours fixing the current wiring. other then that its in good mechanical condition. cant afford to fix it.
engine turns over but doesn't run due to the wiring.needs minimal bodywork.
scuff on one door, and hole in rubber on back spoiler ( but i have a Brazilian kit to put on it)

buyer can fix or wreck it- im a girl and thus do not have the skill or time to do so .Would like at least 3.5k for it but offer away .

what precisely is wrong with the wiring?

 

my mechanic says that someone will have to either rewire it or whack a computer in it...other then that it all runs fine.
but i cannot afford to pay them to spend hours rewiring it or for a new computer

so i'm hoping one of u mechanically advanced guys will want to fix it.
otherwise if u have the time, space and any idea how to take it apart u can sell it in pieces and make some money. the engine an gearbox should be worth it at least.

but it is a nice looking 300zx so ide love to see it fixed up.

is it auto or manual kazza? and how many k's has it done?

 

im just taking the safe option...
i have already spent $1000 for my mechanic to narrow down that the reason
the car wont run is a wiring problem but i cannot afford for him to keep looking.. he says it could be 1 hour or 20 hours to find, but thats the problem with wiring...its fiddly and uncertain, and i'm out of money so...

fix it or wreck it ... what you do is up to you, but i dont have the means to do either. honestly i just cant spend more money on it, as im building a house now - i would have wrecked it myself if i knew how to take it apart and had somewhere to store it.. as i said before the gearbox and motor alone should sell easily enough for a pretty penny.

otherwise if someone wants to come fix it for free.. that would be great lol.:zlove:

 

its manual , will have to call the mechanic to get the updated odometer amount..

 

Take it to a mechanic who isn't an incompetent. The one you've gone to sounds like he has absolutely no idea what he's doing, and likely has misdiagnosed the problem. Give Tom @ PZP a call, it could be cheaper to fix than you'd think.

HAve you tried ECUtalk? Or conzult?

Check error codes if you suspect something electrical.

 

the mechanic i use is Tim Slako from west racing in ozzy park ,
his pretty good , his an old guy - does only performance cars.
fairly sure he knows what his doing . but i guess it could be worth getting tom to have a quick look since i just got charged $2000 for nothing.. wats another few dollars!...

just got the bill.. sigh...

 

dont think i can afford another $2000 opinion...

hey guys chris from ezzupturbo came to fix my car today and fixed the wiring issue in minutes! (stupid previous mechanics -.- ) it needs some new coil packs and plugs but thats about it to stop it back firing. He says it needs about $600 worth of work total including the coil packs and plugs and some bodywork to make it a good 300zx. so guys the price has gone up to 6k. let me know if your still interested. talk to chris if u want any info on the mechanics of the car or come have a look yourself

 

I hope you go back too the " mechanic" you WERE using and give him a right royal ear bashing . I suspect he was playing you for the dumb female and ripping you off.

 

yes we will be calling him tomorrow...charged me $2000 and didnt fix it and chris came over and knew what the problem was straight away..
so pissed... happy with chris tho - great guy , highly recommended.
