Seized Aircon Compressor

Went for a drive from the north of Adelaide to the southern suburbs and back last night to pick up my new intercooler and about 2km from home there was a whine from under the bonnet and the engine stalled. It didn't take long to realise that the aircon compressor had seized and was stalling the engine... The heater still works in economy mode.
The problem is that with a few things in the wind like the racelogic group buy, I don't have the money to repair this yet and was wondering if I could just pull a relay or fuse for now without affecting any other vital systems.

chop the belt. or take it off!

 

2nd, I just took my belt off.
