anyone know of any second hand tyre shops around syd? preferably near castle hill/hornsby area... im after a full set of 245/35/19 or 235/35/19. Tried searching the forum and had no luck. Thanks in advance

Some times you may get lucky, but bear in mind that S/Hand tyres are usually available because, A: They are worn out, B: They are of lousy quality, C: They have shown themselves to be less than satisfactory in the handling/road-holding dept. D: They are only available in batches of less than 4. Using these on a high performance vehicle can be like playing Russian Roulette(with the same possible result).
To be honest I don't remember what tyres I got, BUT I had to mix and match front and rears, its very hard to get a set of 4.... they all had a fair bit of meat left (about 75%) but they looked very old (like they have been sitting around un-used for a long time) I agree with CHILI, you will only get shtty tyres when buying second hand, I STRONGLY recommend you save up for some GOOD, NEW tyres, I only bought second hand ones to sell my car at the time, (buyer was happy for me to put s/h tyres so it will pass rego) Buying tyres "on a budget" will only cost you more in the long run, Be safe, and get some quality rubber....
