Hi guys, i have a problem that i couldnt find the answer too while searching.

Usually people have a screeching sound that lasts roughly 10 seconds or so after startup.

My car doesnt have any screeching sound AFTER start up, not even for a second.

It has a screeching/dying weak noise while im turning the key in the ignition. Feels like it was just able to start. But once it's started its perfect.

While turning the key in the ignition it feels weak and makes that screeching sound. What can the problem be?
Its been sitting in the garage for a while so i assume thats why it has this problem.

Starter motor? or something to do between starter and the ring gear on the flywheel/flex plate would be my guess.

    Are you sure it's not old/poorly adjusted/hardened V-belts slipping(until warmed-up)??

Based on your description, I tend to agree with ryzan, something to do with the starter motor.

Is it time to check replace the belts anyway?

Clutch fan could be making noise.

if its dying i'd suggest the alternator belt is slipping badly.

this was happening to mine and I replaced the alternator belt during my 100k service recently and it sorted itself out.
