Hey guys, last night i scraped underneath the car when driving into someones driveway. They had one of those things in the center of the driveway that sticks out where the 2 gates meet. Anyway, after it happened for about 2 minutes there was a clanging noise coming from underneath the car and then it went away. I thought it was gone but i started up the car today and it was fine but once i headed down the road the noise was there again but gradually went away after a minute of driving. Whadaya reckon?

no... he's asking did u look under your car. if you haven't even bothered looking then go do that before asking.

who cares about that thing you hit, worry about damage to your own car first.

is yours a turbo model ? maybe you pirced the intercooler but the noise would always be there if it was.

Could be something with your exhaust, I got my whole resinator cut through from the stupid fkn gate pin, could be a zorst leak maybe ?

Yes I have looked. I even jacked up the car to have a look but could not see anything out of the ordinary. I think it could be the exhaust but the sound sounds like 2 metal bits hitting each other.

    sump

did you look at the bottom of the sump?? If it took a hit, it could now be caved in and since the oil pick up is only a few mm from the bottom, you could be starving the engine of oil and hence the noise.
