Made the trip upto DECA again with SAU Vic. The layouts we did this time were pretty tricky, no wrong directions, but collected a cone in the finishing box on one of my runs. they were good layouts though, lots of areas where you could hold some good slides. i wasn't concentrating so much on times this time and had more fun I think. Also enjoyed the backtrack, I think this is the first time I have gone over the hill/kink/dip on the backtrack without lifting off the throttle. battles in the afternoon were the best part of the day. Was very hot, probably 35degrees but car held up fine. Have a bigger radiator in it now and temp gauge showed peak of 82degrees which is pretty good. My mate was out there in the AE86. Have to get an Oil Pressuriser/Accusump for the MR2 and I'll join the SAU boys for the next one

Ah cool. Yeah I was thinking about bringing the Z but it's on the market! Automatic transmission too, I've already cooked the box once! Lol. But it'd be great on the skidpan. I'll consider it!
results are in, finished 21st. result is good but as usual I could have done better. the 5 second penalty for hitting a cone is pretty bad for the points when everyone is pretty close in times. Also in some of my runs (motorkhana 1, Long Wang, Mini Wang and Battle 1) I was actually faster on my first run that my second run, usually it's the other way for me so that cost me quite a few points. still yet to crack the top 20 at SAU deca, maybe next time.
