Hey all Having a weird issue with my new SARD connectors The connector has two entry points for the negative and positive leads The lead clips appear identical and the connector entry points are identical (so it should not make a difference which lead goes into which connector side) When I push a lead into the left side I hear an audible click and it locks in:thumbup: When I push a lead into the right side fully, there is no audible click and the lead can come back out I have tried everything including turning the leads the wrong way/ pushing them all the way until the cows come home, but as expected it still won't go in properly at all and click in Looking for a person who has fitted SARD connector leads to the connectors who might know what is going on with this strange mystery Would ask SARD themselves but I fear I will just get Japanese writing in return :rolleyes2: Cheers JC
I'd send a message to sard and ask for "the instructions in English please" and or images of the correct fitment. Can't go wrong that way.
Self-answered and posted back Thought I should post back after using huge magnifying glasses etc. and finally getting a fix! The problem related to using wire too thin and too thick - lol Seems that when you use wiring that is too thin - it bends and doesn't push the connector in all the way as a result When you use wire to thick, it rubs on the side and prevents the lock from going all the way in and locking. It helps to make sure the rubber boot is all the way back as well so its not part of the problem - then once in - move the boot back then. Not sure why the left hand side was less of a problem at first but its evident that the correct size wiring is absolutely essential to these SARD injector plugs right down to the micrometer! Cheers JC :zlove:
