Hello so sometime ago i fried my na Engine leaving me no choose but to replace it with a TT. i didn't want to whack in just any used TT motor so i decided to rebuild one.

it started out to be a simple stock rebuild but things changed fast  and i ended up gutting all stock parts and replacing it with a brand new aftermarket parts.
with the guidance of noel (wildzx) i have made sure my engine is internal able to handle anything upto 700hp. off course i wont be going anywhere near it. also able to rev upto a good 8,500rpm while not being in the danger zone:br::br:.

ok so here is the mod list for the engine:
    -wiesco 89mm pistons
    -Eagle conrods
    -Tommie Solid Lifters
    -Supertech valves
    -Titanium cut valve seats
    -custom grinded cams
might be more but those are the main ones.

    external mods:
    -FMIC
    -EGR delete
    -PCV delete
    -Aircon delete
    -nistune
    -aftermarket radiator
-stock turbos (until next year were ill be running sz exp90kit)
    -turbosmart manual boost controller (14psi)

ok right now the car is at Wildzx (noel) getting the TT motor dropped in
and should hopefully be done by sometime next week depending on a few little things arriving on time like pipe couplers, power steering hose, Bov and new engine mounts.
after she starts its off to Chequered Tuning for a good Dyno tune:cool:.

ill keep you all posted with the news & more pics soon:zlove::zlove:.

ok so there is the written side of things and now for the photos.

I thought you picked up some heap of shit, but it actually looks pretty good (except those cam gear covers).

Shame you're building a motor but bolting on stock turbos. Couldn't stretch your budget for some high flows at least? For most people it's not the price that makes changing dead turbos so painful, it's finding a means to get the engine out...

    thnx man.
with all the deletes ive made it should be alot easier to pull the engine and bolt bigger turbos on,.... this will be my first turbo car so i dont want too much power as iv never driven anything with more than 200hp

very wise. expect > 200hp lol

Sure, but it's the reliability I would be concerned with.

Glad you've started a build thread Sam.
Ill upload all the pics I have soon of the motor getting machined and assembled. Ill find the build sheet for you tomorrow and fill in the blanks but honetly an epic build.
Dont worry guys, timing covers will be replaced with good ones before the motor goes in, they were just the ones that came with the motor before the rebuild, so they went on to protect all the new timing gear til I could source a good condition set which will be going on in the next couple days.

A big thanks to noel for making all of this happen, all the engine work was done by the great hands of this man and i couldn't be any more happier. cant wait till see the pics :D cheers dude

before i spoke to wildzx i was going to move on to a skyline and leave the zed behind... thank god i had a phone call with noel where this whole plan started.

Solid lifters suggest a big cam profile - be a bit of a waste having stock turbos with the cam and head work - it'd almost work out better to go with hi flows or gt2560 and run it at lower boost .
Are the super tech valves 1mm oversize?
And just curious about the choice to go 89mm pistons? :)

Otherwise great build that's a serious engine you will have (I'm reading into other specs you havnt put up but am assuming you will add)

Maybe wild zx can illuminate a little further :)?

to be honest man i know this engine could easily pull 450hp with some good turbos but my main issue will be the driver AKA me lol... i cant say if i could or couldn't handle that power.
i might end up taking out myself and some poor bystander as a result of me wanting max power all at once. give me a year of experience with a 300hp car and then ill upgrade.

all engine Q's can be answered by wildzx as he was the fantastic builder of my motor

throw some gt28r's in it mate. keep the boost down low until you get use to it. gradually up it until you get use to it.

kudo's to you starting slow then working your way up.

    Update

the engine is getting full assembled with turbo's, harmonic balancer, alternator, power steering pump and the pcv delete all in action.
the plenum going on sometime during the week after they get cleaned and lite polish. once the plenum is on it will be a complete motor :)

water pipes are now replaced with some polished ones and the cam covers are looking good in black. (thnx wildzx :D )
with the pcv and the egr deleted it will make plenum pulls so much easier and really declutters the the engine itself

picked up a aftermarket oil cooler for a bargain $90 (thnx XKGB)

    ok the pics from today.

You should be setting up a dual feed/return fuel system while you're there - check out Prockys car and how the return lines were run out where the det sensor cable is.

Theo what are the benfits for doing the dual feed? What all parts do you need to do this? I'm going to assume you have done this on yours aswell

It eliminates the starvation issue that can/does occur and also allows better fuel flow. Works the same as 300degree rails essentially do.
Depends which way you want to do it,
EFI fuel hose(-6), clamps and -6 fittings if you want to do it right.

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

Yours is just EFI hose and hose clamps :p

Yeah I know ;p the other way is a bitch , I plan on doing it to my spare fuel rails and selling them
