Big thanks to all the guys that came, was a very fun drive and i hope to do it again sometime! :D Only got a few crappy photos off my phone but i think Joel got some from his GoPro. Everything went smoothly, no police, no wildlife walking onto the road just good old fashioned fun.

tassuperkart Its a lie I tell you!

Ahhh takes me back! A quick fang thru "Nasho"!
Used that road for years as a younger bloke to tune the suspension on the cars and bikes. No radars and crap back then. Our own private targa!!!! I left a lot of rubber behind on that road!!

Did yous do the short run and back up to Waterfall, the longer run and back thru "The Burgh" (Helensburgh) or the big run right down to Bulli and back up the old road past "the burg" and back to Waterfall???

Im originally from Cronulla and the GF at the time lived in Maianbar so that little run was done a couple of times a week and the full run back to Waterfall every sat night!
About once every couple of weeks we did the bigger run down to "Headies" (Headlands pub) for lunch and a couple of beers and back again on the big bikes!!!!

My old V6 Capri topped out at a poofteenth under 6800rpm in top gear down the Maianbar straight which is 135mph+ in the old money!!! Was a good engine that one! First car engine I built and tuned myself.
100mph+ around the bend at the end of that straight was pretty hairy as well! Got a few good close looks at the old timber guide posts on quite a few occasions getting into that corner a bit too hot in a full 4 wheel drift and the old 13 x 7" Bridgestone "Series 60's" crying out enough!!!!!
Heheheheh! takes me back altho it was often an exercise to extract the undies from my ginger and smooth the pucker marks on the old "Paddy Hopkirk" race seat when I got to the girls house 2 minutes later.....!!!!!!!

    Cheers!!! E
