    Hi guys!

Hoping for a bit of clarity if possible for any of you that have fitted the Ross Performance crank trigger wheel and Cam trigger kit.

I have a Haltech Platinum Pro Plug In

I understand that in the Trigger Type I have to select the Multi Tooth 24-1 input, but I’m a little confused at to how the signal reaches the Haltech?

Obviously the Ross set up utilises two Hall Effect sensors, one on the 12 tooth crank wheel and one on the one tooth cam trigger (which provides the “home” signal)

But I’m a little confused as to how the system is wired into the Haltech and how it is subsequently setup on the Haltech.

Do I require the IO expander box or am I wiring the signal wires into the relevant pin on the ECU?

    Thanks

    Nick

You need to identify which pins are allocated to the triggers in the ecu. Wire your sensors into those. You'll probably find the cas wiring involved.

As for the setup, I'm not familiar with haltech, but I suspect if your trigger option is 24-1, and you actually only have 12 crank teeth, you're going to have a bad time.

My understanding is, with the 12 tooth ring, it’s two crank revolutions to one revolution of the cam which has a 1 tooth “home” signal, giving the 24-1 timing

Yes nick. The 12 tooth setup just mimics the 24+1 cas disk
