For anyone who thinks their reverse lights are too dull, I just did the conversion to my old headlight globes (as I have new HIDs) and it makes a huge difference. And it's really quite easy, much easier than the tech article looks.

And when I enlarged the hole in the fitting I got it just right, so it fits so tightly I don't need the wire to hold it in place.

Yeh I was going to do same when I put the brighter globes into the fog lights... but I just threw them away. I will buy some 4000k ones for the reversing lights. Good work, have to love those tech articles.

I was thinking HIDs for the reverse lights, but thought it was a bit much to spend on it.

Well I guess they'd never be on for too long at once, so it might not melt... Who knows.

Where did I say they were HID globes? They are the cheap globes you can buy from Autobahn for $20, blue/white. Just a 4000k globe, not HID.
