Hey guys I'm moving onto a more practical mod for once.

Is there anything to keep an eye out for when replacing my A/C compressor ? you know while I'm down there an all.

Is this right - shroud out - fan out and then get it from the top or is it easier from the bottom ?

    your right.
Sockets with uni-joints to get at the retaining nuts on the pressure pipes.
Replace the O-rings with the correct ones.

    cheers
By the time I pull the sucker out the shops will be closed so do you know the size of the O-Rings I need to get now? And how many do I need

The type required for R134a gas is HNBR (green) O-rings.
I used a HNBR kit off ebay, but you will need:
    3x 010 (1/4id 3/8od)
    2x 012 (3/8id 1/2od)
    3x 014 (1/2id 5/8od)
    Or metric equivalent
That will do the firewall, compressor, joiner (under relay box), Joiners in front of the radiator.

Compressor only should be 1x 012, and 1x 014 that's if your already running R134a and have a retro kit fitted.

Cheers graham got it sorted now just gotta get it gassed.
I'm not gonna like getting down there with a tt was impossible.
It took me 6 hours by the time I put all the belts back on and had the car running again.

    Never again lol

    LOL. "Never again" Hahahahaaa.
Its a zed. Every 10 min job takes 3-6 hours. Most of that is removing parts to get access to the last bolt.
We NA guys have space to play with. Na-na-nee-na-na. :D

I thought you ran snails under your bonnet bro ?

    Got it gassed this morning
Why didn't I do it sooner.

One more thing I can't change the way the air comes through the vents.
    Front window vents don't work
Would this be the motors behind the dash ?
    Is it easy to fix

Yep. sounds like the servo motors. not sure if that all runs off the same fuse, but check anyway.
Could also be piping under the dash leaking not letting the full flow through.
Easy to fix? Get ready for another 4-6 hrs.

Its a quick NA I have no snails.
