hmmn... i'm removing the hose for my slave cylinder as it has sprung a leak while i was out.

i went out, got myself a new kevlar braided line with speedflow fittings and came home to swap it over and bleed the clutch.

so, after giving the standard fittings a crack, the nuts have rounded off and the damn hose is stuck, is there a way to get these rounded nuts off?

i've got a set of vice grips but there a tad too big and just help rounding the nuts.
the only other option i have is removing one of the hard lines further up the system and getting a new braided line made up, obviously i dont want to have to do this as the 20cm hose i got today cost me around $50 and i'll need more then double.

    removing removed nuts

Would seem to me they are already removed???

vice grips are probably the only option if you dont want to remove it further up.

apply heat + spanner. Use your own judgement when doing this though.
Sometimes you can put a crows foot spanner on them. may offer some more positive torque.

I have some really small multigrips designed for gripping nuts. These can undo rounded flare nuts no problems (just need to make them grip real tight). Can find these multigrips at a decent tool shop for around $30.

i've decided to just take the damn thing to the mechanic down the road and give him a $50 to change it over... i've got EVERYTHING here ready to do it... just cant get the damn nut undone!

sometimes i love my 19 year old nissan sportcar but its times like these i regret buying it!
so much hassle for a 10 minute job... and thats including jacking the car up and bleeding

if the nut has rounded, use a socket 1mm smaller and use a hammer to hit it over the nut dead straight. it will jam on it tight as, and will remove no worries

That won't work on hydraulic fittings ;)

Get a small set of vicegrips, that's what I use on those things.
