Removed my ECU tonight and yep there

    is traces of water in it :( I will try and dry it out as much as possible. There was also one tiny patch of some black substance but it wiped off, so hoping it will be ok :( Sprayed the connections (cable in car) with contact cleaner. Will have to check all my fuses and hope it is just one of them blown and that's why it has no power at all. Tried to pull some out tonight to have a quick look (the ones in the engine bay) but I couldn't get them out. Is there a trick to it? I am such a Nob :eek: Thanx for everyones help so far :zlove:

    If water got in there you need to rinse it out. Take it to an electronics place if your not comfortable doing it yourself.

    heater core leaking? have a good look and smell around the carpet

    I live in Newcastle and we were slammed by a bad

    storm and my car got swamped enough to get water inside the car, hence my ECU with water in it

    if water got in the ecu i would definitely be checking out the fusebox in drivers footwell
