Your points are taken in the context in which they were intended(not suggesting that you are intending to be personally insulting).:)
My comments were entirely based upon my personal experience of owning a TT in NSW/Sydney(that happens to have a BLUE Illuminated Panel)and which has NEVER had one word of criticism directed at that fact by NSW Police/RTA Inspectors(or anyone else).
My main point regarding this Remote Switch was simply that a Police Officer seeing that occur whilst driving, would be far more likely to take notice of that fact(thereby increasing the likelihood of being pulled over and breached/checked-out)no more, no less.:zlove:
P.S. Many tickets for perceived "Breaches" in NSW are given as a result of a vehicle being 'Driven in a Manner Dangerous', or 'Manner Operated', both of which can cover a multitude of circumstances(it also eliminates the need for an Officer to find a specific Rule-breaking occurrence at the time of Booking).;):br:

Yeah if your gonna be a cow boy with the switch you deserve to get nailed.

Personally I'd like to attach it to a solenoid for either

    A: Oil slick or
    B: Tire spikes or
    C: Flame thrower....

Too much inspector gadget as a kid..:D

I suspect that by the time you realized they were unto you(and sprang your plate)you would already be starring in an in-car camera Feature Film titled "THE ONE WHO THOUGHT HE GOT AWAY".:eek::br:
