Any car audio place should have them..

JB Hi-Fi, Bris Car Sound, Autobarn, or the top end$$ of town. Blaupunkt make a good one.

Aren't the stock rear speakers quite low in profile?

I've heard the rear speakers are extremely low in profile, which makes sourcing suitable replacements ( to avoid replacing/rebuilding the mouldings ) quite difficult. I'd like to replace my rears as they're crackling a bit at volume, but just with something I can bolt in so it doesn't require major rework. Any feedback?

    The Blaupunkt >>

6x4s are fitted in mine - perfect fit according to the boys @ Gold Coast Car Sound. Sound nice too!

As for other makes that will fit...I can't help. Search may provide some results.

    I bought Aerpro 6X4 2 ways from Autobarn $29.95

Unfortunately when I compared them to the original I will have to make an adaptor base out of some MDF to fit them. They do look like a good speaker though.

Forget that, 6 X 9's fit right in

If you dump the box in the rear speaker compartment, u can fit 6 x 9's in by cutting a mdf template to fit beneath the speaker cover. Mine are 80 watt, any larger magnets may not fit, its tight particularly on the left side due to the wheel arch sloseness.

I can post a pic if someone wants me to take one. It improves the sound a lot fron the crappy things that come standard. Also you can get 6' splits in the front by doing the same thing, lose the plastic box.
