Looking to replace my cats. They are rattling at the moment, a large amount of oil went through them a year ago through bad turbos, so i would say they are stuffed, not to mention there 25 years old i think. So my question? is, any ideas on best cat choice looking at steel cats 200 cell would like 100 cell but they are illegal i believe. Plenty on Ebay if that's the best cheaper option. Will stick with stock exhaust piping. advise would be great thanks Bigmax.
Measuring the exhaust pipe temperatures before & after the cats with an infrared temperature gun will confirm whether they are working or not, although rattling is not a good sign.
I bought replacement cats from summit racing, plenty to choose from and pending the usd-aud rates they're cheap for buying two and shipping compared to just buying one here in aus.
