I want to get this sorted once and for all. Which wire is the antenna feed? not the power the raises it, that already works fine. I can't remember which wire it is but I do remember that it was missing the end adaptor to fit the back of the cd deck, so I've had a working antenna with no reception for too long now. It's a mess back here. Where can I get the right adaptor?

That is a big mess there mate. You can buy the adaptor connectors on ebay. send me a pm and ill send you the links I used to get my OEM connector adaptors.
Jaycar sell them for a couple of bucks. It is usually the big black cable about 6 - 8 mm in diameter. I think it's that long one in your picture by the look the one that comes from the 3 oclock position and loops down then up ? it is like posted in the other photo. May be take a closer photo in the slot that is clearer. Cheers Dave
