hey guys i'm new here and am just cleaning out the radiator on my 91 zed and was wondering what the capacity was for the radiator? could you guys please help as i don't have a service manual or anything like that cheers matt
Cooling system including radiator, engine passages and overflow tank = ~10.5Litres. If you are buying aftermarket inhibitor/coolant, best to get the concentrate type and top up with hose. The pre-mix stuff is difficult to get the entire contents in. See here for more info on cooling sys... cheerZ
cooling system.. with the overflow bottle is there an easy way to get it out of the car? i have unscrewed everything that keeps it to the body of the car but wont come out.. reason why io am taking it out is because its been painted and cannot see what the level is at.. plus want to clean the inside of it looks like over time its got crap inside it.. nath
overflow bottle yep thats already done. i did that last weekend but i cannot get it out.. i might have to get some like wet and dry and rub it abit over the paint that is covering it so i can see the level of coolent i need to empty it out anyways so i can redo my system.. is there a trick to getting the top of the coolent bottle out thru the hole at all? i have pushed on it but it dont even move i have undone everything so its all loose so yeah Nath

coolent bottle hahah yeah i just go bit overboard with doing things.. car has been off the road for like 2 weeks now i am just taking my time in doing things still learning so yeah.. dont worry i would say i go overboard on things on my old VL took me 3 days to do the engine bay just making it look nice and all hehe i think the tranny cooler i have is over kill should put it up and show you guys hehe Nath
coolent bottle Hi zeders removed my coolent bottle on week end it was really bad water was black removing was no prob the neck that runs down to the coolent bottle dis connects.when i cleaned bottle as best i could noticed over flow tube was blocked not good running around with this blocked that explained why the radiator cap was blowing bubbles so just check little things like this could save a lot of prob latter cheers FISH
