Got my guide today, but unfortunately it seems to have been scratched and has a tiny bit of damage at one of the ends The wooden boxes look like they have caused the scratching while in transport and the bent end was from one end sticking out of the box and must have been damage during transport as well. (the scratches and the tiny bent corner doesnt really bother me) but is this guide designed for only for Koyo radiators or does it fit a stock radiator too. 300zx luva what do u surpose we should do, i dunno if a new one can be swapped for this one, can it???? Please do not think im anrgy at you 300zxluva, it was the packaging u sent the guide in that caused the damage not you your self. I took some photos so u can see what i mean.
one side on mine is scratched, but the other side was all sealed up, so it was fine.. I just fitted mine, and it fitted perfect, standard radiator
False alarm guys, im such a dickhead, i didnt realise they u have to turn it upside down and peel off the sticky cover. Im so sry 300zxluva, i was looking at the wrong side. Im very happy with the guide now it is extremely shinny on the covered side. Im such a tool lol
I have received my radiator guide thank you 300luva, very well packaged. I have pulled a slight bit of the plastic cover off and it looks like a very good product. Haven't fitted it yep but I am very happy so far. Thanx again 300luva Fran :zlove:
Glad your happy Just to note: he has to drill a hole because he has an alarm switch there, not cause it doesn't fit. Has anyone fitted this with a Koyo radiator? I don't know if it fits, I'm still waiting on my new radiator from the GB. Glad everyone is happy, the packaging is pretty hardcore ay? Lucky I got all the materials from work. You get 5 from a sheet with a massive offcut. If you put them together you could probably make a sub enclosure. Post up your pics guys for people to see please. Nate
Hey nate i got mine yesturday thanks very much but a little upset as it doesnt fit with the koyo radiator from the gb. The end part that touches the radiator needs to either get bent to a 90 degree or get removed. Not sure on how im going to go about this but thanks very much mate.
Fitting As I said, I'm was not aware if it fit with a koyo radiator as it is thicker than standard. If I was to make it for a larger radiator than it would not be as effective on std size due to there being a gap between the guide and the radiator therefore allowing air to flow over the radiator once again. The stainless can be cut - but be aware, it is very good quality and will require specific tools. Nathan
Hey guys just gotta know how do u actually fit these things on the zed, am i surpose to screw it down and where are the places u do screw the guide down??? Or is it just surpose to rest there???
Just remove the radiator brackets and sit it under them. As for the sides I have bought some double sided tape. I tried a trial fit the other day but the sides sit up too far, so I am hoping that the tape will hold it down as there is nothing to attach it too. Would be good if anyone can shed any light on this. Thanx Fran :zlove:
Yes i had the same problem thats why i was asking if i was doing it right. Jedi-77 has one on his zed it looks flush so theres some gotta be some way to get it on.
I slightly bent mine on either side.. not hard guys. If you are brave you could probably try pop rivets
