Just wondering what is the power limit of R34 N1 turbo's (2860-7's) on a Z? I have the spec sheet, but looking for peoples experience with these turbo's, apparently they are roughly equivalent to HKS GT SS turbo's? http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/GT28/GT2860R_707160_7.htm I have been searching for the past 20 mins, not a lot of useful info out there
On that page above the picture of the turbo half way down the left hand side it says "* Ideal for smaller displacement engines making up to 310 hp". So with 2 up to 620HP. Although Z1 says 360HP a piece. http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=2961 These are all flywheel ratings and depend heavily on supporting mods. The GT600r are what I am using, supposedly good for 600HP at the flywheel, so less 20% approx, about 480HP at the wheels, with my build I'm hoping for 400HP and maybe a bit more. What you must remember that the quoted capable HP is a theoretical efficiency, not what you get from just bolting them on. To go 500HP at the wheels cams/valves/springs will come on to the shopping list along with fuel pump/system. its a big bump in price.
just buy 2860rs turbos. and then u dont have 2 mess around modding the manifolds gtr turbos are never a direct fit
What are you talking about, they're under the bonnet. (well they aren't actually, more under the nose panel) It's the other bits that won't be. Cooling systems are for girls who don't use proper fuel. These engine bays a huge when you get rid of all that junk.
Use a pair of my T66's........................................... garrrrn, You know you want to! Vroommm.....chooochoochoochooosssstt!
I'm pretty sure those 34 N1 turbos are similar to Garrett GT2860-7 / HKS GT-SS turbos. Atleast thats what i've heard on SAU.
