Bosch fuel pump currently in for sale by business section i beleive $250 no idea for install, have you checked o2s, TPS, boost leaks, Spark, injectors, fuel leak in engine bay, changed fuel filter, checked all clampls in fuel lines adn checked injector connectors

Fuel pump supplies fuel at a controlled pressure (by fuel pressure regulator) any extra fuel goes back to the tank. Check pressure before replacing pump.

    thanks for the feedback

ill have a look at the pressure, where is it situated?

unless the pump is leaking it would seem strange that the pump is to blame for the increase in fuel consumption because the don?t flow better when they brake (if I?m wrong some one tell me how to brake it I want more fuel :D ) its more likely the pressure regulator or the O2 sensor or something along those lines.

I have never heard of anyone needing to replace a fuel pump because of excessive pressure. It's invariably the exact opposite problem that needs that sort of solution. Get a proper tune-up done and check your Air/Fuel ratio.

When you say skulling fuel, how much are we talking. K's per tank?
The typical things to check will be, as mentioned, o2 sensors for a start, boost leaks etc.

    you guys are going

to laugh when you hear how much i got out of a full tank, i got 317k's out of it so im not only thinking there is something wrong i know lol i used to get close to 400. Its not my o2's i got them checked out on the tech day and one of them was only a little off but wont explain in the major increase of fuel consumption, my injector reading shows normal also....

thats not 2 bad mate, i know that ive had tanks like that, bit of spirited driving and away she goes, also u gotta remember u still have 15litres left when the fuel light comes on . id say my best effort would be about 250k for a tank.

pfff i got 175 ish but i had a busted fuel pressure regulator so i was using fuel when the car was off :D i figured it was something I needed to fix not just because of the cost in fuel but because the pressure regulator is next to a spark plug :p
