    Hi guys,

    Summary,
Finally the time has come :)
I am bringing in the container of hoists, plan is to order in a week or two. If you want a great hoist at best price here is the selection.

The one I have is here (ST000104)

    The full range is here

The prices listed are public ones, pm or call / email me to get the Zeder price which is lower (its the lowest I can do). Those who pay prior to shipment will get the best deal possible as you helped make this feasible. Those who wait will still get a Zedder preferred price.

Details, if you want to get references of Zedders etc.... or pm me :)

Also if you want to come over and play with the one (ST000104) we have installed thats fine.

Those who know me know that I have been arranging to import auto hoists for a few years, for my personal use then for others. This culminated in my importing one hoist to trial, which you can see on the following thread. The hoist had slight differences to catalogue... it was better than expected actually.

We successfully installed it, and I love the unit, transformed my life.

Others tried it at a tech day

For low Zeds we jacked on each side a few inches then fitted legs under, no big deal, I will make a ramp to save the few minutes of jacking as LadyZ has a really low one :)

Other than that it seemed to work really well. I removed the engine from our kia (yeah we own one) , worked on the 121 bubble, did some work on LadyZ's Z and it was awesome.

So please do not hesitate to contact members who attended to get their impression of the hoist.

Anyhow I have whole range of hoists available and have a Zedder who said, i want some now.... so I put some prices on the public site that I have and worked out a special Zedder price.

    Here is the product range

Simul-Tech is my company for contracting, i am not a regular reseller etc. These just happened to be high quality at reasonable price, I can share with my friends, I will cover my costs but to be truthful I would make more out of my day job :)

Gavin, I have a severe width restriction. Can you please include the mounting width required for each model?

Also the PARKING lift, Did I read right that when its lowered the wheels can be used to push it around? whats the max outside width of that one?

    Hi Tektrader,

I have asked for formal measurements of outside widths.

I have asked for formal measurements of outside widths.
The widths shown are between the inside edges of the uprights.
The uprights I have are 230mm wide and the mounting holes on floor protrude another 80mm. So you would add 620mm to the widths to get an idea on the two posters.
The narrowest lift is 2450 between posts which would be 3070mm. You can narrow these items relatively easily however your challenge would be opening doors with two posters, the asymetric style may help there.
If you work out your width limitation I can think of other options.

On the parking lift, the wheels can be used to move it around, that would be without a vehicle on it.

New pricing applied based on container loads

The prices I had on the old list were too high,
They assumed individual freight / charges rather than container loads and raised too quickly so I abandoned the spreadsheet I used and fixed em up.

You will see they are much better, but rely on me getting a full container load organized. Make sure you refresh your browser to get these new prices.

Great. Our garage os a weird semi triangle shape. and while you can get two cars in it OK. I need to make sure the outter most pole on the 4 poster doesnt block off the second car spot entry.

I imagine the parking hoist can be used as a multipurpose hoist. Of course I would use it to work on cars as well. Comments?

If that pans out it means I can bring the track car and my road zed home and still have room to park Jenny's MX-5 in the garage.

Could you please PM me the early ordering prices for the parking lift and the least expensive 2 post ?

I will hang on your reply with the widths.

    Thanks

is this likely to be the only run?

i would love one, but i would need to do some hardcore work to my shed (raise the roof) to make it fit. when funds permit.

another run in 12 to 18 months would awsome if there is the numbers.

Yes agreed, in a years time would be fantastic.

What ive wanted to know is what sort of supporting concrete is needed for the common 2 post hoists. As in minimum depth for the posts to be atteched to.

Ive been told that regular shed flooring depth is fine, then others said it needs a suitable amount of concrete with added mesh.

    Can anyone clear this up?

    Interested in the ST1004

How wide post to post at the outside edge? This is probably the most important consideration for me

Are there engineering specs for the slab it is being installed to?

Does it run off regular 240 power or do I need to get the sparky in?

    RE: Im in

    Id be in for the ST000100 as long as;

it runs on a single phase 240v power supply
it is ok to be mounted on a 110mm thick concrete floor

what price would that be, id be happy to pay in full up front, and would there be an extra charge to get it to WA?

    cheers

All the hoists except for the Double Scissor lift runs on either single phase or three phase as indicated in the spec by the Motor Capacity 220V/380V

I even doubt it would need a 15 amp circuit since it's only 2.2KW, most electric heaters consume that much current.

It is recommended to use a thicker floor than 110mm, I can arrange for a broader based that makes that helps with this, however this depends on the quality of the concrete and the soild underneath your concrete. What is the ground and concrete like.

I have a comment on the power later in the thread, basically single phase is ok, you could probably get away with 15amp but 20amp is recommended. The motor just drives a hydraulic pump so it is not under much load.

You are correct on possibly not needing the 15 amp circuit, the electrician that fitted mine ended up connecting into the 20amp circuit, more because it was available and the manual suggested it than anything.
If we get the hoist measured on amperage we can tell for sure but you would not be in a recommended power usage, I will ask about the possibility of supporting 15amp outlets on 240V.
In reality it is just an electric motor driving a hydraulic pump, so it is not much different to driving an air compressor.

The supported minimum is 10 inches by the book, I have found that in reality many peopel have installed on 6inches or even 4 with bigger bases and solid ground underneath... that is a risk you have to consider in that the concrete will not break up...
As you mention many just install it and it works fine.

A bigger base is available to assist in the thinner concrete scenarios...

Is the import costs and taxes included into the price?

  17. oohogwash

    oohogwash Member

The cost shown on the product price list is Ex GST
The price to Zeders is inclusive of GST ex our place at Ormeau. (Which is a yes to your question)
I am trying to work out a better price for those who pay a deposit up front allowing me to get a full container load in and cut costs. In other words I am trying to get the best deal I can for all concerned.
